The KBB Project Awards is an independently judged awards program recognizing exceptional residential kitchen and bath spaces across multiple project categories. Projects must have been installed/completed within the last 12 months up until the competition ends (April 2, 2025, to July 2, 2026). There is no limit to the number of entries per entrant. Once you choose an overall category – Kitchen or Bath – you may select a specific sub-category (listed below) if you choose to do so. 

Best Before & After Project - Transformative kitchen and/or bath overhauls 
Best Solutions to Project Challenges – Must list solutions to three challenges. 
Best Sustainable Design Project – Focus on eco-friendly design in the kitchen and bath (examples can include but are not limited to recycled materials, energy- and water-efficient choices, reuse of materials/products, local sourcing, long-lasting materials, etc.) 
Best Wellness Design Project – Design prescriptions for health, safety and well-being in today’s kitchens and baths (examples can include but are not limited to the use of biophilia, natural light, tunable light, effective ventilation, low-VOC materials, water filtration, therapeutic bathing/sauna features) 
Best Universal Design Project – Inclusive kitchens and baths for everyone in the home (examples can include but are not limited to projects that feature physical and neurological accessibility, multi-generational design, non-slip textures) 
Best Smart Technology Project – Connected kitchens and baths (examples can include but are not limited to the use of app-controlled appliances, fixtures and fittings; programmable lighting; automated controls)  
Best Use of Color – The creative use of hues and textures in kitchens and baths 
Best in Outdoor Living – A look at all things alfresco trends and design (must include an outdoor kitchen and/or bathing space) 
Best Small-Space Project – Fully featured bath or kitchen in a compact footprint 
Best Balanced Budget Project – List three saving and splurging strategies to stay on the fiscal track 
Best Luxury Design Project - Examples include but are not limited to design with personalized convenience, superior performance and singular style 

Timeline
The Project Awards will open at 8:00 a.m. EST on April 2, 2026, and will end July 2, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. EST.

​Fees
The cost to submit is $150 for each entry. No refunds of entry fees will be issued. The competition fee will cover the regular categories (Kitchen or Bath of the Year), and if you wish to enter for a specialty category (i.e., Best Use of Color, Best Before & After, Best Sustainable Design), you DO NOT need to pay an additional entry fee.

Submit Your Project

Step 1. Log in
To access the entry form, you must first create an account or log in. Later, once you've started uploading your information, you can save your work and log back in when you are ready to complete your application.

Step 2. Read and certify the Rules and Entry Details page before getting started with your entry. 

Step 3. Complete your profile information in your application. You will need to add the entrant's contact information, the official name of your project, select the overall category for your project and then select a sub-category if you choose to do so. 

Step 4. Complete and finalize your application. You will need to include information about your project such as date of completion, scope, solutions to challenges and innovative thinking. You should also upload up to 4-12 images of the product.
